VAHIMITI is an Italian singer-songwriter who was raised in
the mythical Maori culture and music of French Polynesia,
where she also has lived and to which she owes her
Polynesian name. Having grown up listening to the pulses of
soul, hip hop, r&b, blues, and jazz, Vahimiti’s music
represents a mixture of these different influences. After her
experience performing in various bands, orchestras, vocal
ensembles like The Sessions Voices, going on tour as
vocalist for artists like Mario Biondi and Tony Momrelle
(Incognito) and studio recording (Franco Micalizzi and
more), Vahimiti released her debut project Motown Dream
produced by the native Detroit musician Vernon D. Hill
(Dwele, Slum Village, Bahamadia, Joy Denalane).
